Our Heartland Family Speaks!

We were members of a Baptist church in Marysville that was closed. We were careful in selecting an area church we could commit to long term. We both believe that church membership is biblical (Hebrews 10:25). We wanted to find a group that was not divisive and supported the Pastor and Deacons. We wanted to find a group where we could participate in making the church family stronger (1 Corinthians 1:10-13). After several years, we believe the Heartland Baptist Church was the right choice. We feel a part of the Heartland family and look forward to what the future holds for our church.

My first reason for attending any church is accurate, quality Bible instruction. At Heartland, I value how this is accomplished through excellent preaching, sound teaching, discussion times, drama presentations, fellowship and serving opportunities, special outings and even through gospel hymns/music. At HBC, I have found a second family where I am accepted, encouraged, loved, and prayed for. One of my favorite parts of our HBC family is the interaction between generations from the youngest to the oldest – I love seeing a grandparent praying with a teen and watching our young people willingly serve others!

We had moved to Marysville and after visiting several churches, have been attending for five months. Heartland offers sound Bible teaching, people that enjoy fellowship, a caring attitude of the people, and a desire to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the Marysville area. When we first visited Heartland, what impressed us most was the friendly, family spirit and sound, practical, biblical teaching. We love that there is a purposeful emphasis and involvement of children and youth in the church's ministries. Our church is also a praying family. It means so much to know that others pray when requests and needs are made known. To this day, Heartland remains a family that loves God and seeks to share the Love of God and the Gospel with others.

I LOVE my Heartland family! It really is a family! Everyone here loves so well! This is a praying church. But they put feet on prayer too by supporting and caring and follow-up. And it is genuine, not just something they feel obligated to. And fun… it is just a joy to be around these fellow believers!

I love the sound Bible preaching and teaching! There’s an intentional involvement with our young people, through our children and youth ministries. HBC is a praying, loving, friendly church. I consider HBC as my second family, where I can share my heart without being judged, and I know that they will pray for me. It doesn’t matter what your background or race is, you feel loved at HBC.

One of the reasons that we love Heartland is because it is a place that you can grow in your faith and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. The preaching is dynamic and exegetical, yet so practical, and it meets you right where you are. Pastor Condict preaches “the whole counsel of God” and has a heart for discipleship. He is a student of Scripture and his deep and evident desire for his flock to learn and grow and “rightly divide the word of truth” is evidenced through every sermon!
